College is a transformative time. When thinking about applying to college, the process is can be overwhelming for students as well as parents - sometimes we need a supportive, knowledgeable guide to help us through the process.
That’s what 412 College Counseling is here for!
We love helping students and families think about who they are and envisioning the kind of person they want to become. We serve as the bridge to help guide them through that process. While we are definitely focused on the college application process, we view our work as going beyond the applying. For every student, the process is unique and reflective of their own characteristics and goals. Sometimes those are very clear and defined, while other times, those need to be fleshed out.
We love opening families to opportunities and ideas they may have never considered or are new to them. Ultimately, we provide support from creating a deep connection to our students and building lasting relationships with their families.
Meet Lauren Lieberman
I started my career in the admissions office at The University of Chicago and from the first year of admissions work, I was hooked. Since then, I have worked in a number of different independent schools based in Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Colorado making it 25+ years that I’ve found joy in working with students on their college applications. Currently, I work as a college counselor independently serving schools, organizations, as well as individuals and families.
Active in the profession beyond my schools, I am always seeking opportunities to stay on top of the latest college admissions knowledge, attending and leading sessions at conferences, traveling to visit colleges, and building connections.
